America’s Most Wanted ~ Boulder Jane Doe Story to air Saturday July 8th, 2006

On April 8,1954 two University of Colorado students discovered the naked body of a young woman on the rocky edge of Boulder Creek. A compassionate community raised the funds for her funeral and buried her under a stone that read "Jane Doe, April 1954, age about 20 years." She has never been identified, and her murderer has never been found.

Finally, after months and months of delays, "America's Most Wanted" will air its segment on Boulder Jane Doe on Fox TV, Saturday July 8th. We are hoping this national TV exposure will bring in some leads to this very cold case.

Congratulations to Silvia Pettem and the Boulder Jane Doe Gang!

On Oct. 28, 2009, Boulder Jane Doe was identified as Dorothy Gay Howard, an 18-year-old who (in March 1954) had run away from home in Phoenix AZ. For more information on this case, see www.silviapettem.com
